It sure is
nice that all of us kids can get back together with
the internet. I have always enjoyed the reunions and
happy memories. Well Jerry Street hasn't changed at
all for the better. My mom and Dad are still there but,
not in good health . Moms got breast cancer and Dads
got ensphyema , I dont know if thats spelled right..oh
well, there in there mid eightys and thats pretty
good. Cynthia and I take turns staying with them. The
street looks the same, some of the houses are really
quite nice and others are shambles. Walts Liquor where
I worked is totally gutted from what it used to look
like. My wife is in real estate and she says that some
of those small houses are going for 175 thousand
dollars , its hard to beleive. I think you saw her at
the last reunion she said that you lived on Stichman
St. by her before you moved to Jerry St. (Jeanette
Easley) her father built that little house on Stichman
with his two hands, wanting the best for his
daughters, then they moved to West Covina to a more
upper middle class neighborhood, he would roll over in
his grave if he knew she married a guy from Baldwin
Park....but i always was something of a
troublemaker. Jeanette and I have been together for 16
years and we are very happy living here in Glendora.
She collects antiques and restores just about
everything she gets her hands on including old dolls.
I have had my own business for 30 year, silkscreening
products for manufacturers, and spend a lot of time
outdoors making landscape paintings. Hope to see you at
the next get together, I thinks its in May at the San
Dimas Park..... |
